News: Heckle wins Best of the Best

Congratulations go to Derby Movie Makers member Richard Layton for his film 'Heckle'. It scooped first place in the club's final competition of the season which this year was judged by BBC and freelance cameraman Rob Hill.

Richard was awarded the John Parker Trophy for his efforts.

It has been a good year for Richard. His scriptwriting has enjoyed success with his film, 'Situation Vacant' which won the Tony Rose Trophy and earnt an impressive 4 stars at BIAFF 2009.

Let's hope Richard's success continues for years to come.
